Pre-Appointment Skin Requirements

 

To achieve the best possible results from your treatment, please follow the guidelines outlined below prior to your appointment:

  1. Avoid exfoliating the brow or lip area for 3-5 days before your appointment.

  2. Discontinue use of retinoids or other harsh skincare products in the area for at least 1 week prior to your appointment.

  3. Keep the skin clean and well-hydrated leading up to your appointment.

  4. Avoid sun exposure or tanning 2-3 days before your appointment.

  5. Refrain from alcohol or caffeine 24 hours before your appointment to minimize sensitivity.

  6. Hydration is essential: Ensure adequate fluid intake (water, juice, milk, or similar beverages) for at least 48 hours prior to your appointment to support optimal healing.

 

Additional Considerations:

  • Severe scarring or uneven texture in the brow area

  • Scarring caused by eczema

  • Skin thickening

  • Previous eyebrow tattoos requiring concealment

  • Delicate or crepey skin, or the presence of fine lines in the treatment area

If you have any concerns or specific skin conditions, please notify me prior to your appointment. Additionally, if you are taking any medications with diuretic effects, it is advisable to consult with your doctor before the procedure.

 

Brow Before Care

  • You must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding clients are not eligible for treatment.

  • Complete any prescribed antibiotic courses at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

 

6 Weeks Prior:

  • Avoid using retinol, acne treatments, or salicylic acid on the brow area.

  • Discontinue oral steroid use.

  • Do not use brow growth serums.

 

1 Week Prior:

  • Refrain from wrinkle relaxers (Botox) or fillers around the brow area.

  • If you are on prescribed blood thinners, consult your doctor about temporarily discontinuing them. Please inform me of your doctor’s advice.

  • Avoid over-the-counter blood thinners such as aspirin.

  • Avoid sauna sessions and tanning.

  • Discontinue use of fish oil and vitamin E.

 

48 Hours Prior:

  • Discontinue any vitamins until after the treatment.

  • Hydrate by drinking plenty of water.

 

24 Hours Prior:

  • Avoid consuming alcohol, excessive caffeine, or painkillers.

 

On the Day of Your Appointment:

  • Do not consume caffeine.

  • Arrive with a makeup-free face.

 

Brow After Care

  • Day 1: Allow your brows to relax. Do not wet, moisturize, or touch them.

  • Days 2-7: Gently cleanse your eyebrows twice daily with water and an antibacterial soap using your fingertips.

  • After washing, apply a small amount of aftercare ointment with a cotton swab. Avoid over-application.

  • Avoid rinsing the brows with hot water and minimize exposure to water during showers or face washing.

  • Do not wear makeup on the brows for 10 days.

  • Avoid scratching or picking the brows, and refrain from using acid or exfoliating products on the treated area.

  • Avoid sweating for 10 days. Stay away from swimming, saunas, UV exposure, tanning beds, acne treatments, hydroxy acids, laser therapy, facials, threading, waxing, or any removal products.

  • After healing, brow tattoos typically last between 1-3 years, depending on lifestyle, skin type, and aftercare.

  • Once fully healed, apply sunscreen to the brow area to protect the pigment. Avoid chemical exfoliants, and avoid laser treatments near the brow area, as some lasers can alter the ink color.

 

Lip Blush Before Care

  • You must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding clients are not eligible for treatment.

  • Complete any prescribed antibiotic courses at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

If you have a history of cold sores, consult your doctor for a cold sore prescription. Start taking the medication 3 days before your appointment and continue for 3 days after the procedure.

 

3 Weeks Prior:

  • Avoid deep exfoliation treatments such as chemical peels.

  • Do not undergo wrinkle relaxer injections or fillers around the lip area. Schedule these treatments for after your lip tattoo.

 

1 Week Prior:

  • If you are on prescribed blood thinners, consult with your doctor regarding temporarily discontinuing them. You can resume taking them post-treatment. Please inform me of your doctor’s recommendations.

  • Avoid over-the-counter blood thinners like aspirin.

  • Avoid sauna sessions and tanning.

  • Discontinue use of fish oil and vitamin E.

 

48 Hours Prior:

  • Discontinue vitamins until after your treatment.

  • Hydrate by drinking plenty of water.

 

24 Hours Prior:

  • Avoid alcohol, excessive caffeine, and painkillers.

 

On the Day of Your Appointment:

  • Do not consume caffeine.

 

Lip Blush After Care

  • Wash your hands before touching your lips.

  • Clean your lips with lukewarm water and a gentle, unscented soap or cleanser before bed.

  • Apply the aftercare balm provided in a thin layer after cleaning your lips.

  • Repeat the cleaning and balm application process in the morning and evening for 5 days.

  • Avoid over-saturating your lips with balm and ensure they do not become overly dry.

  • Avoid consuming spicy foods within the first 24 hours.

  • Do not apply any lip makeup for one week, except for the provided healing balm.

  • Avoid scratching, picking, or licking the dry skin or flakiness.

  • Keep foreign fluids away from the lips for 5 days.

  • Refrain from activities that cause excessive sweating for 5 days.

  • Avoid UV exposure, including tanning booths. Do not undergo massages, facials, or other skin treatments for 5 days.

  • Refrain from laser therapy, as it can affect the pigment color.

  • Do not use exfoliants, retinol, glycolic acids, or alpha hydroxy acids on the lips for 30 days after your treatment to prevent premature fading.

 

After healing, lip tattoos typically last between 2-3 years, depending on lifestyle, skin type, and aftercare. Once healed, apply sunscreen to protect the lip area. Avoid using chemical exfoliants, as they may cause fading.
